Admissions

Each year men and women must apply before March 30. If eligible for admission, the student will be informed by the 2nd week of April. The student must then conform their seat by the end of April, by sending Rs.2000.00 which will be adjusted with the fees.

Admission granted to eligible candidates, with minimum 18 years of age at the time of admission, from any part of our country. Although we give high importance to academic excellence, we are a mission oriented institution since 1989. Our graduates are scattered in different parts of the country and outside and are placed in good positions in ministry.

Trivandrum Bible College has limited seats and we usually confirm on a first cum first basis. While we are keen on admitting students who have a call and passion for ministry, we are also looking for candidates who can support themselves during their studies. Limited seats are available for candidates who deserve scholarship. Conditions apply.

Those candidates who have difficulty paying their fees during their studies will have to apply for interest free educational loans, which they will have to pay after their graduation in order to obtain their certificate and documents. This they have to agree in writing upfront at the time of admission.
Diploma in Theology (Dip.Th)
This program is meant for those who have completed their class x studies and have a desire for theological studies and ministry. The two year diploma will be considered equal to Class XII and one will become eligible to apply for B.Th and pursue with higher studies.
Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.)
Candidates with Class XII or its equivalent can apply for this three year degree program. This is basic to theological education and is sufficient for one to become a missionary, evangelist or pastor and to do ministry among children, youth, women, etc.,.

Master of Divinity (M.Div.)
This is an advance course and is programmed to help students to go for higher studies if they should. Candidates with 60% marks in B.Th is eligible to do this program in two years. Others and those who has a bachelors degree in any respect can do this program in three years time.
Academic Year
The Academic year of the college is for nine months; from June to February. And it follows a semester system. (Exact date of re-opening will be announced at the closing of each academic year). Tentative yearly program is as below:

Application Procedure
Application form for admission may be obtained from the Registrar of the college by remitting Rs. 300/- Fill in the application completely and correctly by the applicant alone and send it to the registrar so as to reach it by March 15th. (Application must be sent along with the following documents) Those who process application form from TBC website will also have to remit Rs. 300 when the filled application is sent to the Registrar.

Copies of academic certificates and mark lists. (Original documents should be produced at the time of interview and registration).

Personal experience of salvation in written or typed form. Decision to pursue theological study must be the candidate’s own interest and that must be stated clearly. ( one to one half page)

Two passport size and stamp size photos.

Commendation letter from the local church.

Two reference letters (should be in a sealed envelop with the signature of the referees across its flap).

Medical certificate in the prescribed form.

Medical authorization letter signed by the sponsoring agency or parents in the prescribed form.

Letter of assurance of financial support from parents/sponsors/ organization/local church.

A residence certificate from Panchayat office/village authority.

Any candidate coming from a non-Christian background has to furnish an affidivit from a Notary Public (Lawyer) stating very clearly his/her new faith in Christ is his/her own personal experience and has not been forced by anyone. And it is his/her own decision to take up theological study in TBC.

Entrance Examination
Entrance or qualifying examination will be conducted on arrival in the areas of General knowledge, English, and General Bible knowledge for B.Th. course and in the areas of Biblical Exposition, Theology, Greek Grammar and English Grammar for M.Div. The final placement will be done after evaluating the entrance test only.

Arrival
All new and returning students should arrive on time to facilitate timely registration and orientation and begin the class with all students on campus. Latecomers will have to pay Rs. 200/- as fine, per day.

Admission and Registration
All those who are selected for the admission will be intimated by a calling letter at least 45 days before the opening of the college. Both the new and returning old students must register their names for the current academic year on registration day. Late registration will be done only with a fine of Rs.50/- per day.
